Sedation<\/a> can help you stay calm and relaxed, as well as allow your oral surgery team to work as efficiently as possible. But how will sedation affect the cost of your care? Sedation and Dental Insurance<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Most standard dental insurance plans do not cover sedation. They view it as an elective treatment and therefore do not help patients pay for it. However, there are some exceptions to the rule. For example, mild forms of sedation may be more likely to be covered than more powerful ones. (Nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation receive coverage more often than IV sedation.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
